James Johnston met with the Technical sales team at Elcome Technologies this March to spend time teaching about MicroSurvey products. Elcome Technologies is the principle distributor for Leica Geosystems and Hexagon products within India and has many customers who use MicroSurvey products. The Elcome team was already experienced with MicroSurvey, but a three day training session helped them to build their understanding of how to support and train customers. The group studied registration, traverse import and adjustment, CAD functionality, creating surfaces, performing volumetrics calculations and using STAR*NET to perform least squares adjustment.
The team was enthusiastic about how MicroSurvey products can add value to the solutions they offer in their price sensitive market. James remarked how enjoyable it was to work with a youthful and dedicated group. We also benefitted greatly from the guidance of Arup Das and Pralani Visanth who will be working closely with MicroSurvey to find solutions to some problems specific to the Indian market.
Many excellent meals were enjoyed.
